What is a good camera for amatuer video production? what Editing software is good also? I want to start making movies/ videos before i start that major in college so that i get a feel for editing, fliming, and production. Im not looking to spend a ton of money, but what is an above average camera that is not too expensive? Since i am just starting i dont know many names of editing software. i only know Pinnalce because that is what my friend has. Just looking for answers. |
Photobucket is a great web based and FREE editing tools. The software behind it comes from Adobe who make some of the best commercial ($$$) photo and video editors. Also check out Jaycut which allows you to export and save your videos! If you need/want more features downloading VideoSpin, VideoPad or VideoThang are great options. Still free, but you have to download the software. For under $100 you can buy Adobe Premiere Elements.

Where is the best place to buy a mini DV camera with whitelight, for amatuer video making? I'm the new speilberg/scorcese of the UK. |
There's a very very good web store in New York at
www.bhphoto.com. They carry EVERYTHING needed by amatuer as well as professional film makers.
If a camcorder has a built-in light, it will be a very weak light, good for only a few feet in front of the camera. If you are the Scorcese of the UK, you're going to want a light system that can be either mounted on the camera or on a separate tripod with its own power supply. |
What software is available for an amatuer like myself to make a video game? I have zero experience with making a video game but I thought of something cool and I want to make it happen. Basically what I'm after is something free or nearly free, easy to use for somebody who isn't terribly techno brained, and has a retro feel to it. I'm not looking to make anything 3d or anything half as complex as a lot of those flash games you find for free, just real simple 8bit kind of RTS/RPG stuff. |
| Blender 3d is fairly simple once you get used to it, and it isn't just for 3d games. There is an extensive forum with lots of helpful people to give you assistance to any problems you may have. |

stop promoting your video with the questions. you guys are good but the video blows. it too hard to watch a 4 min video of all jumps. you NEED rails and other stuff in a video or else it sucks.

An amatuer video obviously, but what are your thoughts? www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZhttItZIs… |
| A lot of female writers nowadays seem to be "stuck in the box" of the Twilight novels. I must have read half a dozen stories in the last week which sound very similar to yours, and in turn, to Twilight. If you really want to write a good story you should try and break out of that mindset and come up with some more original ideas. |
What is a good amatuer video editing application? I'm interested in making a video with my computer and I'd like to find out what a good program would be for some pretty simple editing techniques. The video I have in mind would pretty much be fading between and zooming into still images, with some text fading in and out or in a marque across sections of the screen. Also, I'd like to be able to sync the fading between stills and text with a certain song in the background.
Where is a good place to start? I need a program that isn't to advanced, but gives me timing options that will make the text and images easily sync-able with the music. Any help or experiences? |
| Windows Movie Maker, you should allready have it installed on your pc. Go to start . all programs and it should be there, otherwise download it from microsoft. |
